In Western Australia electrical engineers tested Insulpaint using two identical houses.
Insulpaint was applied to one house but not the other. The test measured the power consumed in a week. The Insulpaint house used 51 units of power at 28 cents a unit.
The other house used 130 units of power.
The savings in power costs of the house with Insulpaint amounted to $22.12 a week Insulpaint won the most innovative energy product in 1988, a national award presented by the Federal Government for saving energy.
